Altadena Roof and Solar – Before

We were first contacted thru our architect, that the client was having trouble finding a contractor willing to have a 20 ft beam lifted into the 3rd floor. During the first meeting, the client wanted to see how we would orchestrate a beam install that large, since the access to the building was limited.

With some thorough planning, we devised a way to have a crane company lift the beam 150 ft. in the air, over the structure and then between the building and the adjoining one and finally through a 4 ft. window. This project involved careful coordination between city, traffic control, crane operator and Goldenstar personnel.

To everyone’s amazement the job went rather smooth with only 14″ to spare, from the beam hitting the other building.

The rest of the install on the project was not as chellenging since kitchens and fireplaces are something that we do all the time. Special care was placed on the finish details. The end result was the open floor plan that the client always wished for and modern look fireplace, with years of future enjoyment, for our dear clients.
